The evening starts with a presentation by our guest Harro Wittermans of Trimension BV. This company organized a National Staff exercise for nuclear incidents in the Netherlands in 2005 (the NSOn-2005): a large scale realistic exercise on a (fictional) nuclear accident in Borsele. The Dutch context will be presented to illustrate the response to nuclear incidents and in a workshop you will be able to experience decision-making yourselves as part of a team that has to handle the Emergency Response of a simulated nuclear accident. The evening ends with a discussion.
HARRO WITTERMANS worked at Trimension for four years and developed into trainer-advisor in emergency response. Harro’s focus was in this was on the processes within local administration, hospitals and the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture. During the NSOn-2005 exercise he was closely involved in planning an executing throughout the whole project cycle.
