You are warmly invited to the the coming Christmas Activity, held in Amsterdam, Tuesday December 19:
"Ethics and Energy"
The activity will take place at Energetica in Amsterdam (see www.energetica.nl ) and consists of:
* A tour through the museum at the end of the afternoon (16.00 – 17.30)
* A presentation, discussion and Christmas drink in the evening (19.00 – 22.00)
The presentation and discussion
In the colder and darker days of December we would like to address the ethical aspects of energy and society. Dr. Marc D. Davidson is teacher and researcher in ethics, economy and climate policy at the University of Amsterdam. He is mainly specialized in our moral relationship with future generations. Do we have moral obligations concerning these generations or are they rather ‘transcendental’ needs that form our care for the future? And what does this mean for long term energy and climate policy? He will give a presentation and by means of propositions we shall discuss about ‘ethics and energy’.
