Hereby we kindly invite you for a joint YES-DC / Young Shell activity on Thursday, 8 March:
‘Energy for a Changing World: how feasible is the new energy and climate policy of the European Union?’
On 10 January, the European Commission launched a plan for a new energy and climate policy with ambitious goals for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the use of renewable energy. Are these goals ambitious enough? Is there sufficient support of member states and industry to realize the plans? What are the consequences of the new policy for companies? Is the current state of the art technology sufficiently matured to meet the goals?

Subscription procedure:
To attend the activity, you should subscribe by sending an e-mail to activity@yes-dc.org with your name. If you wish to bring guests (i.e. non-YES-DC-members), their full names should also be listed in this e-mail, together with the indication “(guest)”. Subscription closes at Thursday, 1 March at 18:00h. On Friday, 2 March, you will be informed by e-mail whether you (and/or your guests) can attend the activity. If the number of subscriptions is larger than the number of seats, YES-DC members will have priority over guests. Within these categories, seats will be assigned on the basis of time of subscription.
Participation fee:
All YES-DC participants and guests have to contribute € 5, – to the event. For this contribution you can attend the discussion and have free drinks afterwards. The fee can be paid cash at the start of the activity. We would be most grateful if you could pay the exact amount.
